I can tell I painted today because my hands ache. Still, it was worth it. It was satisfying in a way that wasn't fattening.

I've always loved horses but somehow I ended up with the gourds and my sister ended up with the horses. I couldn't help but think of her when I was putting this gourd together. It's done with woodburning (pyrography) and ink dyes. So far I love the way it's turning out. It will be a centerpiece or a vase for dried flowers.

All the horses on the gourd were freehand sketches that I traced onto pyrography paper, then taped to the gourd, then woodburned right through the paper.

Beware the Bicker

Don’t be amused

His only goal is to confuse

Insulting is his favorite craft

To poke fun at the dumb & daft

He comes in chatrooms all the time

Then mostly sits there like a mime

Then subtly likes to turn the knife

Till the room is filled with strife

“How about that President,” he will say.

Or “Why won’t the poor just go away.”

“You know the holocaust never happened.”

His love for conflict is never dampened.

Then when the whole room starts to bicker

He lays it on a little thicker

“God meant for men to be supreme.”

“Fat women should never eat ice cream.”

So he puts a jab in here & there

Till people are fighting everywhere

Then before the blame is placed on him

He’s off to start a fight again

It’s not just in chatrooms where he will dwell

His other hangouts I will tell

He’ll show up in the forums too

And leave a comment just for you

Pencilonly at http://onlypencil.vox.com/ helped me find the right pencils to make my drawings better. I found them at the local art store and they are soooo much darker than what I was using so I've thrilled.
