I got a fun New Year's Day surprise. One of the bills I entered into the Where's George bill tracking site six years ago just showed up in Florida! And I'm in CA so that is not only quite a long way but quite a length of time. Here are all the stats if you are curious:

I think the heatwave is letting up a little. I actually had to turn some fans off when I got up this morning. Still no rain in the forecast and no rain in sight. I see our neighbors have broken their own upstairs window with a water balloon. Remnants of the yellow balloon are still stuck to the glass.
Wasn't it just last week that I told the kids outside not to throw things at the windows?
Summer is slipping away fast. The little darlings will be back in school before you know it.
I found a thing on a blog where you take a photo a day for a year and post it. So I'm looking forward to that. I'll put my first one here. Maybe someone else will get motivated to do it too.
