All the horses on the gourd were freehand sketches that I traced onto pyrography paper, then taped to the gourd, then woodburned right through the paper.
Bored with the summer? Why not try gourd art?
First of all I have to say this page has some pretty darn funny cat photos on it. I found it using Stumbleupon: http://www.siliconhell.com/madcat/cathumour/aw1.htm
Tonight I finished a crocheted hat I started yesterday. I'm glad it's too small for me because I need some smaller hats for my Etsy store and I just can't seem to make them smaller than what I wear. This hat has little bobbles (puffs) on top to add interest. As usual, every hat I make is one-of-a-kind. That's because I'm an artist, not a factory. It's a chipper orange and blue in acrylic yarn. Toss in washer and dryer, squash in suitcase for travel...easy peasy.
Ever since I got DSL my etsy chat experience has become difficult. Either my Avatars get stuck in a chatroom (I had 3 in the room at once yesterday), or it opens in the morning, and I can't get back in the rest of the day. The chat page just flat out won't load.
To make matters worse we now have a room troll named MO who insists on creating as much chaos as possible. His newest thing is greeting every person every single time they come into the chatroom. Jared, when oh when are you going to make us an ignore button? In the wee hours of the night last night, Mo was in the room literally talking to himself. Singing songs, posting comments. For half an hour no one else even typed anything.
I just made 2 new groups on VOX. One is for Etsy artists and is called Etsy for Everyone. The other is a group for Polymer Clay Artists. Please join up.
I decided to make today a productive day. The first thing I did was finish my pig for the Etsy Zoo Game. This week's animal is the FLAMINGO so I didn't want to get too far behind. It's the first Etsy listing I've posted in a while so it's good to get off of top dead center.
Then I posted a listing for my 2nd entry in the Beads4You Winter Challenge sponsered by Beads4You and Etsy. It's a copper and pink seed bead circlet that can also be worn as a necklace.
After adding the new photos to Flickr and Etsy, I decided to take the plunge and get a Pro Account on Flickr. I had one I won as a gift for 3 months, and it's great to be able to give the public full access to hundreds of photos I've taken over the years rather than just the 200 the free account allows. It also cuts down on the constant reloading of the same photo as they tend to fall off the list when you have the free account.
I woke up thinking of the Beads4you Winter challenge. I was working on my 2nd entry yesterday. This morning I thought of 2 more entries I can make. Between those 3 I should pretty much be out of beads I think.
I heard about vox.com from the etsy.com chatroom. So I looked for vox members with etsy on your interest list and added all 3 pages of you. My etsy name is Pigglewiggins by the way, so if you see me over there, say hello.
